I had the pleasure of spending the morning with a wonderful group of people, discussing the nuances of using social media in your business. They were a fantastic crowd with valuable questions (truth be told, the Q&A part is always my favorite part). ⠀

I’d be lying if I told you that I was looking forward to it. That it wasn’t weighing heavy on my mind all week.⠀

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous. That I didn’t leave my house way earlier than I needed to “just in case”. That my voice wasn’t shaky at the start. (it always is!)⠀

It would be a lie to let you think that I LOVE public speaking, that it just comes naturally to me. ⠀

The truth is, it’s never easy, getting up in front of a room full of people, but I do it anyway because that’s how I get to help people. And doing the work is the only way to get good at the work!⠀

If I listened to my fear I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to help 35 people make more progress in their businesses and careers. I wouldn’t have heard their questions and concerns (which makes me a stronger teacher for others).⠀
